Analysing why and fixing it right away!
Another week, another SaaS postmortem.
Today we have Jesper who created FindSight. It’s an AI-powered (of course) user research interview platform.
First up, I might appear sarcastic while I write this, but I still respect the founder for all the work he’s put in.
Now first let’s see what it is and how it helps:

Preview of the App
My first suggestion to all trendy AI apps is that if you slap “AI” on your SaaS
Make sure you tell me as a user explicitly how AI makes it different.
I genuinely don’t care if you use AI, or PHP or HTML.
I just want my life easier by using the product you promised.
Also as a consumer, I’m tired of reading AI slapped on every product I own, for no use.
At this point it doesn’t feel revolutionary, it feels lazy.
End of the rant.
Now let’s do my Money Grab Audit.
The 30-Second Money Grab Audit
First impression? I rated it 6/10 on my "will-I-throw-my-money-at-you" scale. Now let’s see why.
1. I feel like “Dora the Explorer”
Let’s analyze “Above the fold copy”

The headline reads “Do more user interviews, spend less time on calls”
It's clear, it's punchy, but where's the how?
Usually the subheading gives it away.
But here “A free account will let you preview AI interviews, you will need to upgrade to send it to real respondents.” makes me feel lost.
Not to forget the “AI powered User Research Interviews” that’s hanging casually in the background above.
AI powered how?
AI does my interview with my customers but won’t it be creepy?
What will I get with user interviews at scale?
2. The Pain Point Goldmine (That They're Not Mining)

The Pain Section
Look, if you've ever done user interviews, you KNOW the pain:
Scheduling across time zones (nightmare!)
"Sorry, can we reschedule?" (ugh)
Transcribing hours of calls (kill me now)
Analysis paralysis with all that data (help!)
FindInsight could be screaming about these, but they're whispering.
They talk about analysis, interviews, and survey questionnaire hassles which is fine but it’s all too mechanical.
I need emotions, I need the feels, I need the anger. Btw if you wanna learn how to add them, check this out.
And when I feel all of those, I want your product to be the holy grail of all my problems.
3. The Mystery is Solved
I finally get to know the actual product in this section.

The “What is it” section
But wait, is it?
I’m confused.
Does it take video interviews or does it chat?
The golden rule of copy: Write like they know nothing about you, your product, your life. And after you write it, share it with someone who actually knows nothing about it (ideally me :P)
At this point, I understand
It probably chats with users?
Then it gives you full AI analysis
Helps you search through user interviews
And now, I can see its use. And it seems to be a great product. :)
3. The Steroids it Needs
Let’s make a tiny list of what this page is missing:
Emotional triggers
Psychological Pain
Reviews, and if you don’t have reviews → share your story. Share how you came up with this idea
The UI → I hate uncertaint. I want to see if it takes me a manual to figure out or if your UI is instinctive.
And finally, like I always ask…
The Million-Dollar Question
Are you selling to tired researchers who hate scheduling calls?
Or to companies that never did user research because it was too hard?
Pick one. Target them specifically.
The Five-Minute Rewrite
I would have loved to rewrite the whole thing but I’m on a time crunch.
So while I am writing this post, let me whip up some phrases for the landing page!
